About the Sky Mind Theme
In a World Without Secrets, Minds and Hearts Would be Crystal Clear
Sky Mind’s two protagonists, Ana Heller and Pete Carboni, are doing graduate research together in Psychology. They are unaware, however, that the program where they have been awarded a grant is being secretly run by the CIA for the purpose of enhancing telepathic abilities for espionage.
Through their own curiosity, Ana and Pete discover an aboriginal tea called Kobuna root, which they decide to test in their laboratory. Astounded by the extraordinary telepathy enhancing results, they experiment with the tea with each other, which allows them to read each others thoughts and feelings. Very quickly the use of Kobuna tea spreads around the country, allowing people to see through political dishonesty, and to connect more authentically with each other.
In the meantime the CIA discovers the lab tests that Ana and Pete produced and become suspicious that the two young graduate students are involved in spreading the tea. The mounting tension culminates in a protest rally on campus in Berkeley.
Sky Mind presents a condition that tears away the masks that society wears, and reveals a powerful truth, that beneath all of our secrets lies a pristine clarity and an opened heart.
